Curved silhouettes, expressive stone and a gentle, light-filled palette define the interiors of Soleil, where atmosphere is built through material restraint and considered detail. Designed as a luxurious family retreat, the home brings moments of sculptural interest together with an effortless, welcoming quality.
Soleil was envisioned as a high-end family home nestled in the southern suburbs of Sydney, balancing everyday functionality with elevated materiality and craftsmanship. The brief called for interiors shaped by natural light, expressive stonework and soft timber tones, with a strong emphasis on warmth, longevity and livability.
Planning throughout the home is intuitive and highly resolved, allowing spaces to flow naturally while supporting family life. Material selections were carefully curated to feel cohesive and enduring, with sculptural elements introduced selectively to elevate the experience without overwhelming it.

Stone plays a defining role throughout the interiors, used not as a feature but as a unifying language across the home. Limestone and honed stone surfaces bring softness and depth, while carefully considered detailing allows the material to feel sculptural and tactile. The stonework anchors the interiors, creating a sense of permanence, calm and understated luxury.
“I love these spaces. They create a sense of ease and generosity, supporting the rhythm of family life while offering moments of retreat and reflection within the home.”
– Maria Papadopoulos, Architect & Founder

The interior palette is deliberately restrained. Limestone, warm timber, and the paired use of two hero stones within a single space are carefully balanced to feel harmonious. Subtle tonal variation adds depth without visual noise, allowing the materials to respond beautifully to changing light.
Designed as the heart of the home, the kitchen is both a functional workspace and a sculptural centrepiece. A striking five-metre island anchors the space, its subtle cantilever creating a sense of lightness and refinement. Natural stone, curved forms and warm timber combine to produce a kitchen that feels both generous and elegant.

The master retreat is expansive and meticulously considered. A luxurious walk-in robe, a refined stone bathroom, and a restrained material palette come together to create a private sanctuary within the home, one defined by clarity, comfort and ease.
Set to the rear of the home, the wellness retreat introduces a quieter, more introspective space. Honed stone, curved forms and a restrained palette define the room, with bespoke vanities and carefully resolved detailing giving it a composed quality suited to rest and renewal.
SOLEIL reflects Sici’s commitment to thoughtful interiors, where every junction, proportion and material choice is carefully resolved. The project is defined by its balance, spaces that feel composed and shaped by intention, restraint and enduring appeal.
