A Global Recognition — Barker Residence Featured in The World’s Best Global Book of Interiors & Architecture
We are honoured to share that Barker Residence has been selected for inclusion in The World’s Best IV—a curated global publication by Beta-Plus Publishing celebrating 60 of the most considered interiors and architectural projects from around the world.

To be recognised within this context is both humbling and deeply meaningful. The publication brings together a collection of works that push boundaries, refine spatial thinking, and elevate the everyday experience of living—values that sit at the core of our approach at SICI.
Barker Residence was always envisioned as a home grounded in material honesty and sculptural restraint. The design explores a quiet dialogue between form and texture, where natural stone becomes both structure and expression. Curved elements soften the architecture, allowing light to move gently through the home, while a restrained palette creates a sense of calm and permanence.

At its heart, the project is about how a space feels to live in. Each room was carefully considered to balance functionality with atmosphere—creating a home that is not only visually refined, but deeply connected to wellbeing and everyday rituals.

This recognition is also a reflection of the collaboration behind the project. Working closely with a client who shares a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, alongside skilled makers and builders, allowed the vision to be realised with precision and care.

We extend our sincere thanks to Beta-Plus Publishing for the inclusion of Barker Residence within this year’s edition.
The book is available globally and can be explored here:
To see the project acknowledged on a global platform is a moment we are incredibly proud of—one that reinforces our ongoing commitment to creating spaces that are enduring, considered, and quietly exceptional.
