Sculptural softness, natural stone and a warm Mediterranean-inspired palette define Barker Residence, a home that is both deeply personal and quietly luxurious. A collection of contemporary spaces, refined through function and united by a focus on craftsmanship throughout. Above all, it is a place of calm.
The architecture by CDA provided generous openings, soft natural light and a calm, contemporary form. Sici’s interior approach was shaped by these qualities, enhancing the structure’s inherent flow, brightness, and openness.
Materiality was chosen to emphasise warmth, tactility and refinement. Gentle curves are carried throughout the home, allowing spaces to flow seamlessly into one another and creating a calm, elevated atmosphere. Craftsmanship is a defining feature, particularly the stonework, which reflects both the clients’ expertise in this field and the deeply collaborative nature of the project.

These interiors reflect more than forty years of stone mastery. As the residence belongs to a member of the Deemah Stone family, the project stands as a tribute to their global stone sourcing, craftsmanship and bespoke detailing. Every element, from curved fireplaces to sculptural kitchens and vanities, celebrates a legacy shaped by material knowledge and precision.
“Barker Residence is a deeply collaborative project, shaped by leading experts across design, architecture, stone craftsmanship, art and furniture curation. The result is a shared vision, perfectly aligned.”
– Maria Papadopoulos, Architect & Founder

Tactile, timeless and quietly luxurious. The material palette is anchored by Vagli marble, Viola marble accents, light timber tones and honed travertine. Together, these materials imbue each space with warmth and Mediterranean-inspired serenity.
Designed for hosting as much as everyday life, the kitchen balances beauty and usability with effortless sophistication. A sculptural island, stone-clad rangehood, integrated appliances and ambient lighting combine to create a space that feels both elegant and intuitive.

Furniture is deliberately understated, chosen to complement rather than compete with the architecture, creating rooms that feel elegant yet approachable.
“Coming home to Barker Residence feels like stepping into a private sanctuary. The atmosphere is warm, grounded and instantly calming. It is a place that supports both the pace of everyday family life and the quiet moments in between.”
– Maria Papadopoulos, Architect & Founder

Barker Residence embodies the ethos of Sici, with soft curves, functional clarity and a material palette that feels effortlessly refined. What distinguishes this project is the harmony of its elements, where stone, timber and sculptural form come together in calm cohesion.
The home’s walk-in robe is the epitome of considered luxury. Stone trims elevate the joinery, while soft, warm veneer creates a boutique, resort-like quality. This is a dressing space envisioned for calm organisation, daily rituals and moments of quiet pause.
Bathrooms evoke the timeless tranquillity of an Aman resort: soft, immersive and grounded in natural stone. From floor to ceiling, the stone selection conveys calm, permanence and understated luxury. Custom vanities, curved silhouettes and honed travertine transform each bathroom into a personal, spa-like retreat where time feels unhurried.
