ONA Residence is a refined forever family home shaped by its coastal setting and a deeply personal brief. Designed by Sici to feel timeless, grounding and enduringly liveable, the home balances softness and structure across every layer of its architecture and interiors.
The brief called for a home that would evolve with its family over time, remaining calm, elevated and deeply personal throughout. Sici led both the architecture and interior design, allowing the spatial planning and material language to be resolved as a cohesive whole.
The flow of the home is intuitive and considered, connecting shared living spaces while carving out moments of privacy and retreat. Natural light informed a softer, more sculptural interior language, where materials and forms respond naturally to the coastal environment. The result is a home that feels grounded, effortless and built for years ahead of easy family life.
The interior palette is warm, layered and selected for longevity as much as beauty. Limestone and natural timbers form the foundation of the material language, bringing tactility, calm and a quiet sense of depth to the interiors.
Two complementary stones are paired within key spaces, creating considered moments of contrast and richness without disrupting the overall cohesion. Together, these materials create a home that feels enduring and harmonious rather than overly styled or trend-driven.
The kitchen anchors the home as its central gathering space where family life comes together. A generous sculptural island defines the room as both a functional workspace and a natural point of connection.
Natural stone, warm timber and soft curves balance strength with warmth, creating an environment that supports daily rituals, shared meals and effortless entertaining.
Living and dining spaces are open, light-filled and connected, with warm materiality and generous proportions creating an atmosphere that is inviting without effort. These spaces are designed to support the rhythms of everyday family life while maintaining a quiet, considered elegance.
The master retreat is a private sanctuary within the home. A luxurious walk-in robe and stone-rich bathroom create a calm, refined environment that draws from the sensibility of a boutique hotel while remaining deeply personal.
South Coogee Residence is a considered expression of architecture and interior design working in harmony.
